I would suggest we concentrate on 4.0.0.
If there are pressing needs for more 3.4.x, or the timeframe for 4.0.0
is unacceptable, then we may consider that option.
my gut reaction would be to get 4.0.0 out with more there, and set a
roadmap for even more useful 4.1 series.
