volunteering to maintain the FR-V port

- Subject: volunteering to maintain the FR-V port
- Organization: Red Hat Global Engineering Services Compiler Team
A while ago, people claimed the FR-V port was unmaintained, and even
talked about deprecating it.
Shortly thereafter, Eric Christopher volunteered to maintain it, but
the steering committee took no action to make that official.
The other day, Aldy and myself were about to begin some new FR-V work,
and when he said there wasn't a GCC maintainer for the FR-V port, I
was a bit surprised, since I expected Eric to have been appointed as
maintainer a long time ago.
So Aldy and myself talked to Eric, and decided that, since the two of
us would be working on FR-V for the foreseeable future, it would make
sense for us to volunteer to maintain the port.
Can someone from the SC please acknowledge this offer, take it up for
internal discussion, and let us know whether it is accepted?
Thanks,
