I have gettext installed. What else do I need to get to be able to rebuild these configure scripts?

[removing gcc-patches]

Check if you have codeset.m4 or iconv.m4 somewhere in /usr/share/aclocal* or /usr/local/share/aclocal* directory. I have it in /usr/share/aclocal.
