  That must mean that you have tried to unsubscribe from a different address
than the one you subscribed from.  Maybe you have two different email
addresses at work, e.g. you are Rao@ emiratesbank.... perhaps you also have
an address LSRao@ emiratesbank?  

  To find out exactly which address you subscribed from and therefore how to
unsubscribe, just take any piece of mail from the list (such as this one)
and examine the full headers.  You should see one that looks like

List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:gcc-unsubscribe-[Your email address
here]@gcc.gnu.org>

  So just copy and paste the bit after the "mailto:"; into the To: line of a
blank mail and hit send, and you should get an unsubscribe notice sent to
whichever address it was that you originally subscribed from.
