If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'.
Look at the config.log file. configure logs the commands, input files,
and output of failing tests into this file. So there should be info
here that explains what went wrong.
The configure output says the output file with no -o option is a.exe.
Is this true? Your example did not demonstrate this.
