Andreas, I confirm this patch fixed the reported bootstrap ICE on
m68k-netbsdelf too.

The BSD box is now re-running the testsuite just in case.
Meanwhile, I rekon your patch should be committed.

Gaby, this bug was also present on 3.3.  It's apparently latent,
but potentially very dangerous (generates subtly wrong code for
conditional expressions).  Can we backport the patch?
