I don't know the cause of your problem, but why arn't you using
binutils-2.14.90.0.7?  I ask because the latest versions includes
some ColdFire patches submitted by me.  Do they introduce some
m68k regressions perhaps?


Happens with the crosscompiler and does not appear to be related
to the latest m68k fixes. gcc-3.4-20031210 didnt do this
- does this look like any known problem?

Not to me... GCC bootstraps fine on i386 and I've extensively tested the m68k-uclinux compiler with real world code.

I'm currently running make bootstrap on m68k-netbsd...  Does
"make compare" report any difference now?
