- Subject: Successfully built gcc 3.3.2 on Pentium running Linux 2.4.24
Hi!
Yesterday i've successfully built and installed gcc 3.3.2 on my Pentium 133 machine running Linux 2.4.24, which now runs Linux 2.6.1 compiled with gcc 3.3.2.
Output from running srcdir/config.guess: i586-pc-linux-gnu
Output from running 'gcc -v': Reading specs from /usr/local/bin/../lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.2/specs
Configured with: /root/gcc-3.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-languages=c,c++,objc,f77
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3.2
Before compiling, i've deleted from the various Makefiles the '-g' flag.
My linux distribution is 'Slackware 9.0', partially upgraded to 'Slackware 9.1', partially upgraded and extended downloading and compiling sources tarballs.
Glibc version: 2.3.2
Gcc version (used to compile gcc 3.3.2): 3.3.1
Thanks to the gcc team for their great work!
