Re: [using gcc book] ch1 rewrite

(I'm not getting copies of list mail until well after they were sent, if
at all. I see from the list archives [1] that mail is making it there, so
I'm not sending things twice, but on the chance that the problem here is
local to me [??], please cc: me on replies. Thanks)

Paste error, all text uses the <quote><punct> convention:

    % grep "[,\.\!?;]''" *texi
    fdl.texi:sections Entitled ``Endorsements.''
fdl.texi:replace the ``with...Texts.'' line with this:
trouble.texi:although more may be used.''. Also according to K&R-1 (2.2), ``An
trouble.texi:be a letter. The underscore _ counts as a letter.'', but GCC also

I'm not touching the FDL document, and the examples here from trouble.texi
seem to include the punctuation as part of the quote, and so were left
alone.

Everywhere else uses the agreed upon convention instead:

    % grep -c "''[,\.\!?;]" *texi | grep -v ':0$'
    bugreport.texi:1
    c-tree.texi:6
    cpp.texi:7
    cppinternals.texi:1
    extend.texi:6
    fdl.texi:15
    frontends.texi:5
    funding.texi:2
    gcc.texi:2
    gccint.texi:2
    gcov.texi:1
    gnu.texi:2
    gpl.texi:3
    install.texi:6
    interface.texi:1
    invoke.texi:5
    makefile.texi:1
    md.texi:4
    rtl.texi:5
    sourcebuild.texi:1
    standards.texi:1
    tm.texi:7
    trouble.texi:5

Sorry for the confusion.

Great, glad to hear that.

Indeed :)

Okay, again, I'm submitting the manuscript this afternoon, so if anyone
has any feedback to go in the current _Using GCC_ book, please get it to
me ASAP. Thanks again for all the help.
