Good point. Concerning version updates on other platforms we have been
"liberal" in the past (not requiring Steering Committee intervention or
some such), so I'm Cc:ing Mark.

Mark, how about updating sparc-sun-solaris2.7 to sparc-sun-solaris2.8?
