The "gcc_latest_snapshot" tag has been moved. You can use
cvs update -rgcc_latest_snapshot to update your CVS tree to the latest
official snapshot.

Does anyone use this tag and really, really need it?

I'd like to get rid of it, to ease the implementation of snapshots from
both mainline and the current release branch.

More to the point, does *anybody* use the gcc_ss_yyyymmdd cvstags? All those snapshot tags present major clutter in CVS web pages.

A "CVS -d snapshot_date" will accomplish the same thing, if anybody had a reason to get a specific snapshot.
