Thanks very much for all your work on this.

1. Would people mind temporarily (IE for a few days) getting duplicate
bug submission notifications (IE one from gnats, one from bugzilla), or
not.

If the period is short, I don't see a problem with this. Few people will see more than one or two extra messages.

2. Would people mind temporarily (IE for a few days) getting account
creation messages (if you haven't ever submitted a comment/bug to
GNATS) from bugzilla when you submit followup comments to a bug?

This one might surprise people: are you saying that if some member of
the public files a bug report, someone sends a followup comment asking
for info, and the bug-filer replies, the bug-filer will then get a message
about a Bugzilla account creation?

The bug filer would get a bugzilla account creation message after submitting a bug for the first time, if he had no account already.
If he files a reply, it wouldn't cause *another* account creation message.

The confusing scenario is something like this:

1. Bug filer (with account) files bug.
2. Someone (with account) replies.
3. Someone else (without account) replies to that.

#3 will get an account creation message (because they had no bugzilla account previously).

Basically, it does this because you need an account to submit comments/bugs, so i have it auto-create one if it doesn't exist already.
