I've changed the synopsis of optimization/6597 to show that it is a
regression in 3.3 and 3.4, but I didn't bump the priority.  This is an
ICE that shows up only with checking enabled, and I've only been able
to reproduce it on ia64-linux.  I'll let Mark decide whether it should
have a higher priority.  I verified last week that it still exists.
