Yes.  Deprecate it.

No.  Please keep all sh*-*-rtems* targets.  My comment was that the
SH is the only CPU which I think should still have an alternate object
format (sh-rtems == COFF, sh-rtemself == ELF).

That I don't know.  My impression is that in 3.4 if not now, mips-elf 
includes enough multilibs to properly support mips64 embedded targets.
But the MIPS crew should speak definitively.
