 ... and also the GCC Coding Conventions linked to from there, in
particular the conventions about spelling, terminology and markup and the
list of common Texinfo errors (but if you're doing any serious work on the
manuals, looking through the whole Texinfo manual is desirable).

Note most documentation fixes should at this stage be going on mainline
and 3.3 branch, unless describing compiler features only present on
mainline; also remember that changes to the manuals may require copyright
dates to have 2003 added, both in the individual .texi file edited and the
overall copyright notice for the whole manual (within @copying) that may
be in another file.  Also try to keep last updated dates that appear in
the printed manual (which may be printed by the FSF for some releases)
accurate on release branches.
