Re: (ti)c4x maintainer

Thank you!

I am studying the internals of gcc right now to get an overview of the tic4x-maintainer job tasks. And I do not rule out the possibility, unless Michael shows up again, that I in time can take over the maintainership of this target. Right now I do not posess the time nor the knowledge to do so, so for now this access will certainly do!

Now, down to business... One of the (two) approved files are 'config.sub'. In context with the binutils patch, I did make sure that the file was updated in the central/master configuation repository (subversions.gnu.org:/cvsroot/config) because binutils synchs from this source. I am under the impression that gcc does the same - and according to the changelog this seems true. This patch is already imported into the central configuraton repository, so all I need to do is an import.

Therefore I'm asking for permission to import the config.sub from the master repository (with all those sideeffect that may have). Or better: someone else with greater authority could do this task for me... ;)

Regards,
Svein
