BTW, my tests of both patches together on mips-irix6.5 and solaris2.7
passed full bootstrap and regtest. On irix6, execute/20011219-1.c
works, (though as we know only Graham's patch was required to fix the
irix6 failure.) So as far as I'm concerned they're good. Thanks to
both Jan and Graham for the fixes.
