The patch seems to fix the failing testcase on mips-irix6.5. I was
able to compile and run the testcase at all opt levels. I'm running
full rtl checking bootstraps and regtests on irix6 and solaris2.7
overnight to be sure it's safe. I'll have results tomorrow evening.
