Hi Guys,
Just a quick note.
I *think* I may have found a problem with the 'configuration' script
and/or Makefile fragments and/or the test routines (but it may yet be
my fault - testing is a llliiittle tedious with a two-hour turnaround
time for each build).
This is on common or garden i686-pc-Linux, glibc-2.1.3; originally it
was Slackware 3.5 or something like that years ago, now up to kernel
2.4.19. I'm using a full distribution unpacked from gcc-3.2.tar.gz
from a French mirror. (Despite appearances I'm in France:).
Yes I read the docs. Yes I'm building in a separate build directory.
The symptoms at the moment are that absolutely NOTHING in the test
suite compiles and links properly, and if I try to compile and run any
of the test suite sources (if I am lucky enough to get an executable:)
by hand then the said executable craps out (missing .so) or crashes.
Anyhow, if you have any suspicions of your own you might want to hold
off releasing 3.2.1 unless you're (a) happy go lucky types or (b) sure
that I'm nuts or (c) desperate to get a fix Out There.
I'm currently digging around in the sources (I suspect it's only a
badly formed Makefile) but it's a slow process because it's all so
unfamiliar. Been programming in C for years so I can manage. I hope.
I'll let you know if I find my mistake. Or if I don't.

Ged.
