Unicode Support?

Subject: Unicode Support?

I searched and searched for wide character support (a.k.a. wchar,
__wchar, _wchar, _wchar_, and a few others) which is required to support
Unicode.

Does GCC support Unicode, and if so, could you provide a link to the
appropriate documentation?
