Subject: GCC for MC9S12

Hi,

I am interested in using gcc to cross compile (on HPUX) for the Motorola 68HC12 processor. Based on your web site information I believe gcc already provides support for this processor family (you list "m6812-elf" as a supported platform).

However, this Motorola processor family is being replaced by a new family of "star12" processors - e.g. MC9S12DP256 rather than the olrder 68HC912DP256.

Please can you clarify whether gcc currently supports (or will support) this new processor variant in the future.
