IIRC, your previous changes make it so that ${configdirs} just doesn't
have directories that don't exist, right?  If so, this is OK.

Configury changes are almost *never* obvious, unless it's a typo in a
comment or referring to a host/target fragment that's obivously
mipsselled.  Even just moving lines around may have subtle effects on
the way the build works.
