Aaaah.  Now I'm going to guess that -mieee doesn't create a link
incompatibility with non-mieee.  So only runtime libraries which have FP
math in them actually care.

Which is probably every one, but still, that's making me thank
that setting -miee in each library which wants it is the 'correct'
solution.

Correct me if I'm wrong.  And thanks for the feedback.
