You argue (bogusly) from the standard, and then you say language lawyering  
is the wrong way to address this debate?

Do you actually read what you write here?

Actually, there is considerable overlap. You just don't want to admit  
that.

Frankly, it is fairly offensive to take a language-lawyer position and  
then try to wipe away other people's arguments as language lawyering.
