I tried Dec 17 09:30 PST 2001. I got the same comparison failure. That
means

causes bootstrap to fail on mips. You mentioned that you has tested
your patch on mips. Did you mean bootstrap on mips or build a cross
compiler for mips? Could you please fix your change?
BTW, am I the only one seeing bootstrap failure on mips?
