Bootstrap failures, again


Something is seriously going wrong, if, after only a few days of
successful bootstraps, two major platforms start fail bootstrapping
again, with *different* failure modes.

i386-unknown-freebsd4.3:

  ./xgcc -B./ -B/sw/test/gcc/FreeBSD/i386-unknown-freebsd4.3/bin/ -isystem /sw/test/gcc/FreeBSD/i386-unknown-freebsd4.3/include -S tmp-dum.c
  cc1: Internal error: Segmentation fault

I was going to evaluate a promising patch Daniel had sent me privately,
and this is just wasting my time and blocking me from contributing useful
work.
