Those all sound like appropriate fixes for the branch. I'm not really
sure if they are regressions from GCC 2.95 or not, because I can't
remember where we built shared libraries there and where we didn't.
But, these all sound like nice little self-contained
platform-specific fixes, which is good stuff for a dot-release.
They're fine by me. You'll just have to be extra careful about
doing the libtool imports. If I were you, I'd use a vendor branch
so that you could catch conflicts automatically, but I know you
prefer other methods.
