This is undoubtable the issues raised with bug 3145, which was recently
discussed as 'gcc 3.0.1 status'. My thoughts about the cause are in
that thread. I may be wrong, in that there are other things lurking.
I wasn't aware that this affected KDE. As it is affecting them,
we need to work on it. Anybody (other than me) want to do it?
