Hello all,
I'm curious, has anyone compiled gcc3 under OS/390 USS
(openedition)?
I know that ecgs compiled at one time, and I see that
some (or maybe all)
made it over.
Does anyone know what state this port is in? I know
what it says on the
web page,
but I don't know how dated that info is, as the ecgs
version seems pretty
stable
so far.
Note: I've tried compiling 3 using ecgs and c89 (IBM)
and both fail, in
different ways of course. The
farthest I've gotten is with c89, and it reports:
ERROR CBC3205 ./safe-ctype.c:162 "Unsupported host
character set"
CBC1793(I) Compilation failed for file ./safe-ctype.c.
Object file not
created.
FSUM3065 The COMPILE step ended with return code 12.
FSUM3017 Could not compile safe-ctype.c. Correct the
errors and try again.
make[1]: *** [safe-ctype.o] Error 3
make: *** [all-libiberty] Error 2
Thanks for any help and info,
-Pete
