I don't think any of these flags affect libgcc. At least, they didn't
back when I still had access to an IRIX 6 box without the 64-bit
libraries, and I had to fix gcc/Makefile in every week's bootstrap
(and I didn't fix gcc/config/mips/t-iris6 so that it would keep
reminding me of eventually looking into this problem. Well, it turns
out that the machine died and, without the weekly reminder, I ended up
forgetting about the problem :-(
