There have been some regressions in optimized builds in 3.0 on an
i686-linux-gnu box. In the snapshot from 20010508 the testsuite gives
only 1 unexpected failure for gcc and objc, 2 for g++ and none for
g77. For the last few weeks, gcc has had around 6, g++ 60, objc 72 and
g77 none. Builds with the default CFLAGS give much better results.
