I'll listen to what the objc maintainers have to say to this proposabl, but
it seems to me that fixing objc for 3.0 would be a better plan.
I took a look at it a while ago and found it related to function-at-a-time
issues. I had a partial patch, which I posted, but couldn't get it completely
working with my non-existant knowlege of Objc.
