Re: gcc for winders


You can go into one of the mirror ftp sites and download the cygwin packages
you want, including the gcc one. Then run setup.exe using your local
download directory as source. Or you can let setup.exe download and install
the packages.
But, this is pretty easy and well documented in the site. There you can read
about cygwin too, and find out that what you get there is not exactly a
gcc-for-windows but a gcc which will link to the cygwin dll, a dll that
provides posix apis.
You don't need to be a mind reader for installing any cygwin package.
Believe me, I'm not one.
