  PMFBI, but I have the same problem, (as you can see)

  Joe, you probably shouldn't react as if the sender had typed this himself
and meant it, or directed it at you.

  It's a completely dumb thing that gets tagged on the end by people's 
mailers automatically, and it can be a touchy subject asking the sysadmin
to set you up a special account for use for personal mail at work IYKWIM.

  It's not even false either; by sending to a public list, the intended
recipient is clearly 'the world at large'.

  It is, however, a stupid bit of text.  I agree with you there :)
