The GCC manual is supposed to cover them. If you find of any
variables that affect GCC and are not listed there, please report.
Note, however, that the manual covers GCC, not the assembler nor the
linker, so variables that affect these other tools called by GCC are
(supposed to be) documented in their own manuals, not in GCC's.
