I having problems getting GCC to work. Just to let you know in advance I am
far from a UNIX novas, and I am not familiar with HPUX. However, what I
have done so far is loaded the binary GCC files from your web page. I have
also loaded the binutils files, the flex and bison files, etc.
The problem that I am having is twofold. I am not familiar with the GCC
application at all and the compile and install documentation that I read via
/opt/gcc/doc/HPUX.Install file is as follows:
To compile and install
----------------------
[Edit the HP-UX overrides section in top-level configure file, particularly
the prefix and binutils settings]
[Make sure you are at the *top* level of the source (i.e. not in the gcc
sub-dir) before you issue the next commands]
ksh configure
make install
I do not know what configuration file that the directions are referencing.
I am only able to find one .h file and it is the _G_config.h which says "Do
Not Edit"
I am at a loss. Is there someone that can offer some assistance?
