Hi!
I do not like the feature that gcc-2.96 experimental warns about
unknown options. It should either ignore them or produce an error.
Otherwise, configure tests about compiler options will fail and not
prevent annoying compiler messages.
If using -Werror, other warnings might lead to the misleading
assumption, that a command line option is not available.
Maybe, this behaviour should be changed.
