That is your opinion, thanks for sharing. We have thought about the
issue, and have decided upon a course of action. Our opinion does
differ. We believe that it is better to satisfy the needs of the
regular readers in the manner that we do.

That's right. As you mention, you already have a solution, use
hotmail.

We want to encourage posting from a very wide base of people,
requiring signup before posting limits the people that can discuss
things, we feel this would be bad for our project, hence we don't do
it. Because we don't do this, we _do_ have occasional bursts of spam.
This is not a theory, it happens. We don't want to exist as good
spamming list for spammers, so we necessarily try and block what spam
we can.

Only to a non-regular reader like yourself. Become a regular reader,
and you will understand.

We as a community, have standards for posting, they include not being
on the antispam lists. Your ISP doesn't meet these standards. Your
complaint is with your ISP. A good ISP will _never_ be on any of the
antispam lists. You just didn't research your ISP selection well
enough before signing. I'd recommend a new ISP.
