Having it associated with some specific release (by putting it into the
gcc-3.0 subdirectory) does make some sense, however, or you use a table
with a column like "supported since" or "supported with releases...".

I have no strong feelings either way, but having a list of "triplet"
maintainers seems a useful idea to me, though I'd like to here what
others think about this.
Did I understand correctly that you would be willing to start such a list,
if it is considered a good idea[TM]? ;-)
