Blasphemy! :-) :-)
The egcs logo was created in a completely GNUically correct manner, with
the GIMP, no GIFs for patent reasons and the whole bit.
I was the one who suggested the design, and the reason for the egg is
that our orginal message claimed that "egcs" was pronounced "eggs",
though I never heard anyone actually pronounce it that way instead
of e-g-c-s.
But I'm not much of an artist, the actual logo was created by David
Miller's wife Nina.
