   Or we could simply replace egcs by GCC, but that's probably easier
   if we have the original source (CorelDRAW, or whatever) of the
   logo...

Effectively, you have the source, it was bitmap rendered by hand using
the GIMP.  I will ask my wife to change EGCS with gcc and get in
contact with you.
