Nope. If GCC 2.95.2 happens to not work well on Solaris 8, previous
versions will certainly not work any better.

Dunno. I just mentioned C++ because that's what often triggers the
red alert for people who *thought* they got GCC working on a
non-supported platform, such as DU 5 and HP/UX 11.

Nope. AFAIK, GCC 2.95.2 doesn't officially support Solaris 8. But
maybe it just works.
It's just that we can't list Solaris 8 as one of the supported
platforms before we're sure it really works well :-)
