C++ and GCC v2.95.2

Hi,

i wonder that GCC v2.95.2 is called "stable" and on my lousy computer
(libc5,linux686,kernel2.2.9) no QT-Lib, nore KDE-Apps nor anything else
what's written in C++ is going to compile. Ok, the hello world example in
fact, goes thru. But Internal Errors here, unrecognizable insn there ,
problems all around!!!

Now my question: What do i make wrong? - What libs and headers are needed
for compiling c++ with g++ successfully??? libg++ (version?) libstdc++
(version??) ... do i need glibc ??

Thanks for any help!

Ciao
