Sigh.  Evidently you are reading http://gcc.gnu.org/lists.html .  We need
to rewrite that page.  gcc-help is not for help in "building gcc", but
for more general help for users of gcc.

Development of gcc itself.  Again, we need to make that page more clear.

gcc-help.  gcc-help is also mirrored to the Usenet group gnu.gcc.help if
you'd rather read it that way.  That should be mentioned on the web
page as well.
