Strange. I've no problem producing a working gcc-2.95.2 on my Red Hat
Linux 5.2 system:
[toon@moene snapshots]$ uname -a
Linux moene.indiv.nluug.nl 2.0.36 #1 Tue Oct 13 22:17:11 EDT 1998 i686
unknown
[toon@moene snapshots]$ cc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.7.2.3/specs
gcc version 2.7.2.3
[toon@moene snapshots]$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/2.95.2/specs
gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
Are you sure your hardware is OK ?
