new port contributing (ATMEL AVR)

I have received mail from FSF where Brian Youmans writes about my
ASSIGNMENT OF COPYRIGHT IN REVISIONS OF GCC and
EMPLOYER DISCLAIMER OF RIGHTS:

Now I want to contribute my work (port for ATMEL AVR) to the FSF.

Must I split my port to files ?
Or must I send the one big patch ?

My port tested with gcc-core.
I don't know how it will be work with another frontends.
Is this significant ?

Denis.
