LS,
I am a bit confused about the release numbering of distributions. It appears
to me that there are EGCS and GCC distributions that use different release
numbering.
So what is exactly an EGCS distribution and what is a GCC distribution.
Which one is best for me.
I now have compatibility problems between the EGCS 1.0.2 and 1.1.2 releases.
Both releases respond with 'egcs-2.91.66' on the 'gcc --version' command.
My problem relates to the libgcc.a library. EGCS 1.0.2 defines the COMMON
symbol __eh_pc in libgcc.a, the EGCS 1.1.2 version of libgcc.a does not. I
use a third party library that is build with the older library set.
Which distribution should be used by all parties that are involved in my
project?
The latest release of GCC is 2.95.2. The website does not show any
information on EGCS distributions, except for release announcements and
links to download sites.
