I'm sure most of you have heard about the Red Hat/Cygnus merger that was
announced on Monday.
I'd just like to reassure everyone that the merger should not have any
significant impact on GCC development, either on a day to day level or
long term.
The combination of Red Hat and Cygnus employees on the steering committee does
not carry enough votes to constitute a majority. However, the steering
committee is considering a slight realignment to broaden the representation
of other groups with an interest in the long term health of GCC.
