I do not think this is a good idea. Vendors may use Gnu C as the
system compiler, but that does not make us, the gcc team, vendors.
Vendors apply patches to packages to make them configure and install
how they please. Which means that anything we do will probably be
slightly wrong. We're better off not overwriting the distributed
compiler and letting some experienced user mess with their own box.
Further, the vendors already have the package configury to get gcc
installed where they want it, so they gain nothing by such a change.
