Postgres and Apache use CVSUP to one extent or another, so does FreeBSD.
I happen to use it also to keep in sync with my job at Liberate (used to be
NCI.)
It seems to work okay, but a significant drawback is that it is written
in Modula-3 (so porting could be an issue in some end-cases.)
